If they reply politely and give detailed answers, I feel more relaxed. Even big and famous brands sometimes send generic replies that are not very helpful. Personally I like a mix of design, comfort and realistic pricing. It makes it easier to compare with an old pair of glasses that already fits well.

If anyone is interested in real user experiences, I sometimes write short notes about the shops I test.

I also think about how easy it is to track a parcel once it ships. If a deal looks too good to be true, it usually has some kind of catch. A good store usually answers questions quickly and does not hide behind canned messages. I like when a shop clearly shows PD, lens height and bridge width in millimeters.
